Buying & Inventory
Do you keep Sierras and trucks in stock, or is it all special-order?
Yes. We stock new GMC trucks and SUVs — Sierra 1500, Sierra HD, Yukon, Yukon XL, Terrain, Acadia, Canyon, and more — plus a rotating used inventory. Stock changes constantly, so the fastest way to see what's on the ground today is to check our live inventory online before you drive in.
Is the price I see online the real price?
The price you see online is built to be real, not a teaser. Advertised pricing reflects current incentives and changes as factory offers change, so it stays current on the live listing rather than being hardcoded. If anything about a specific vehicle's price isn't clear, call us and we'll walk you through every number on it.
Do you carry the full GMC lineup?
Yes. Courtesy GMC of Ruston carries the full GMC lineup — Sierra 1500 and Sierra HD, Yukon and Yukon XL, Terrain, Acadia, and Canyon. From half-ton trucks to heavy-duty and full-size SUVs, you can shop and service the whole GMC range right here in Ruston.
I'm 30 to 45 minutes away on I-20. Is the drive to Ruston worth it?
For most of north Louisiana, yes. We regularly earn business from West Monroe, Monroe, Grambling, Choudrant, and across Lincoln Parish because the right truck at the right number is worth a 30-to-45-minute drive down I-20. Start your deal online and we'll have things ready when you arrive so the trip is quick.
I'm a Louisiana Tech alum living out of state — can I buy remotely?
Yes. We work with plenty of out-of-state buyers, including Louisiana Tech alumni who want to buy from a hometown store they trust. We can handle the paperwork, financing, and logistics remotely — call or message us about the vehicle and we'll map out the steps.
Selling & Trade
Will you buy my car if I don't buy one from you?
Yes — no purchase necessary. We'll buy your car, truck, or SUV outright even if you're not buying anything from us. Start a trade estimate online for a no-obligation starting number, and if you like it, you can take a check instead of rolling it into a new vehicle.
How do you decide what my trade is worth?
An owner reviews your appraisal. Rob Feron has been appraising vehicles since 1989, and that experience — plus live local market demand and our own lot's needs — shapes your number, not a generic national pricing tool. The online tool gives you a real starting estimate; we confirm the final figure once we've seen the vehicle in person.
Should I trade it in or sell it outright?
It depends on your goal. Trading rolls your vehicle's value straight into your next GMC and, in Louisiana, can lower the sales tax you owe on the new one. Selling outright puts cash in your hand with no purchase required. Both start with the same quick appraisal — we'll show you both numbers and let you choose.
What if I still owe money or I'm upside down on my loan?
Not a problem. Bring your payoff details and we'll handle the loan payoff directly. If you're upside down — owing more than the vehicle is worth — we'll walk you through your options honestly and show you how negative equity affects the deal before you commit to anything.
Financing
Can you help if my credit is challenged?
Yes. We work with a range of lenders and have experience helping buyers with challenged or limited credit get into the right vehicle. The best first step is to get pre-qualified online or call us — we'll give you a straight answer about where you stand.
Will checking my financing options hurt my credit score?
A pre-qualification is designed to show you options with a soft credit inquiry that does not affect your score. A full application later, when you're ready to finalize, involves a hard inquiry. We'll always tell you which step you're on before anything touches your credit.
I'm a first-time buyer or a student at Tech or Grambling — can you help?
Yes. First-time and first-vehicle buyers — including students at Louisiana Tech and Grambling — are welcome, and we'll explain the process in plain language. Reach out about getting pre-qualified and we'll talk through what's realistic for your situation.
Service & Parts
Do I have to service here to keep my factory warranty?
No. You are not required to service at the selling dealer to keep your factory warranty — that's a common myth. You can service anywhere. The advantage of servicing with us is factory-trained GM techs, genuine GM parts, and a documented dealer history that protects your resale and trade value.
Do you service diesels and Duramax trucks?
Yes. We service diesels, including Duramax trucks and DEF systems, plus the heavy-duty work many quick-lubes and corner shops won't touch. Our technicians see these trucks every week.
Do you use genuine GM parts, and can you handle recalls?
Yes on both. We use genuine GM parts and fluids, and as an authorized GMC dealer we handle factory recalls and warranty repairs in-house. If your vehicle has an open recall, call our service line and we'll get it scheduled.
Family & Dealership
Who actually owns Courtesy?
Courtesy is family-owned and operated by the Ferons. Rob Feron is the dealer principal and owner, his son Robert Feron is General Manager of the GMC store, and his son Christopher Feron runs the CDJR store. The name on the door is the name of the family that runs the place.
How long have you been in Ruston?
The dealership has been family-owned in Ruston since 2006. Rob Feron's personal experience in the car business goes back further — to 1989 — but the Ruston store itself dates to 2006, when the Feron family planted roots here.
Why buy from you instead of a big-city dealer?
Because decisions get made here, not in another state. An owner is on site and accountable — when something needs an owner's attention, you get one, not a voicemail. You're buying from a family that lives in this community and has to see you at the grocery store on Saturday, not a rotating cast of regional managers.

Still have a question? Just ask us.

The fastest answers come straight from the store. Call us, start your deal or trade online, or come see us in Ruston — easy off I-20 from West Monroe, Grambling, and across Lincoln Parish.
